Spyros Ioannou LLC (hereinafter referred to as “our Law Firm”, “our Firm” “we”) are a growing Law Firm in Larnaca, Cyprus founded by Mr. Spyros Ioannou, and we offer legal assistance in a wide range of legal areas.
The personal data that we process

The “personal data” that we collect from you refers to information that can identify you personally, either directly, or indirectly from other information that we have access to. We may obtain this information when you contact us personally, from the organisation that you are a part of or from persons that are associated with you and your affairs. • Information that we are legally required to obtain for compliance purposes, for example, know-your-client’ information and information on source of funds and source of wealth where concerning anti-money laundering legislation
• Information provided throughout our business relationship which is necessary for the legal services we provide
How we use your personal data and for what purpose

We process data that we collect lawfully and only those that we are permitted to process, either by your given consent or for another lawful reason. This data varies depending on the services that we are required to provide.
• It may be necessary to use the information you provide to us for the performance of a contract with you. In other words, to process any enquiry that you make and be able to provide our legal services to a satisfactory level. This includes giving legal advice, during court proceedings, for the setting up of businesses and any other legal services that you require. Please note that when in the best interests of business your data may be disclosed with third parties
• If you are a job applicant we may collect, store and use your contact details, copies of your application, C.V. and cover letter, as well as any references provided or obtained, for the purposes of processing your application and for general recruitment purposes.
• We obtain your information for the compliance of legal obligations, including European and National legislation and for the purpose of sharing this information with government and regulatory authorities when necessary
• Your information may be disclosed to third parties when necessary to protect our business rights such as in the event of outstanding bills, to allow us to limit any damage that we may sustain and to enforce the terms of any contract made
• The processing of your personal data allows us to improve our services, to keep our records updated, to notify you of any changes to this policy and/or to our terms and conditions, and to send you any relevant marketing communications in the event that you consent to this or it is permitted by law
• Any disclosed health conditions, religious or political beliefs, or other sensitive information will only be processed when absolutely necessary to provide our client with advice concerning their legal enquiries.
Sharing of your personal data

Throughout your business relationship with our Firm, your personal data may be shared with the employees of Spyros Ioannou LLC who are responsible for the handling of your legal matter. Furthermore, as mentioned above, your personal information may be disclosed with third parties where it is in your best interests for your legal matter. This includes entities connected to our Firm such as accountants, bank institutions, companies providing filing and administration services etc. Other third parties may include courts and tribunals, court bailiffs, other legal specialists such as mediators, arbitrators, governmental or supervisory bodies with a legal right a legitimate interest in any material. We may be legally obliged to share your information with government authorities and services such as the District Office, the Tax Office, the Department of Lands and Surveys and the Department of Civil Registry and Migration. Your information will also be shared with third parties other than the above where we have obtained express consent to do so. Retention of your personal information We retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we have collected it, as outlined above. Information collected solely for the purpose of complying with EU or National legislation will be kept in accordance with those laws.

• Article 21 - The right to object to the processing of personal information
• Receive a confirmation as to whether your data is processed
• Withdrawal of your consent at any time You also have the right to opt out of marketing communications by following the instructions in the communication that you receive from us.
